Microblading is a semi-permanent make-up procedure that enhances or creates natural looking brows.  This technique is done by manually implanting pigment into the epidermis creating very fine hair-like strokes to reshape or fill in brows. Microblading can also be used as a full reconstruction if the brows have little to no hair. This technique is great for people suffering from alopecia, hair loss from chemotherapy or other health conditions, over tweezing/ waxing, or people who simply aren’t happy with their eyebrows.

Microblading usually lasts 1-3 years depending on several factors such as skin type and lifestyle. However, there is no guarantee that the pigment will fade out completely over time and a yearly touch-up is recommended to maintain optimal shape and color.

This technique uses the same technique as microblading to create “little hairs” but also uses a shading technique for more density. This look will still appear natural but it will be darker and fuller giving a more “make-up” look. Combination brows lasts the same amount of time as Microblading but may last longer due to more pigment placed into skin.

Measuring Microblading.jpg

The initial Microblading appointment takes about 3 hours. The beginning of the appointment involves your consult including paperwork, going over medical history, and answering any questions you may have. From there we discuss your brows and what your desired outcome entails. At that time I will measure and draw an outline of the brows with a removable pencil.

During the first hour we will work together to draw your new brows until you’re happy with every detail. I will take into account existing brow shape, your facial structure, and your preferences. This process takes a lot of time due to precise measurements and symmetry. Once done, client will approve the shape and I will make any adjustments. After shape is complete, the client and I will agree on a shade of what their new brows will be. Client then has the option to be pre-numbed. Pre-numbing can take up to 20 min to take effect. Once numbed then I will begin the procedure.

Pigment is placed underneath the skin’s surface using a sterile “micro”blade. A microblade is a manual tool that contains a single row of very fine needles that implant the pigment into the epidermis creating very crisp and realistic hair-like strokes. After microblading is complete, you get to check out your new brows!!

Any minor adjustments can be made. I will then go over aftercare and send you home with an aftercare package. Within 4-8 weeks you will return for the perfecting session. At that appointment we will evaluate how the skin retained the pigment and touch up any areas that are needed. Viola! Enjoy your beautiful brows :)
